Manually Editing an Article Retrieve Link

There are three parameters that you can add directly to a captured Article Retrieve link or to a master Article Retrieve link: Did, Fmt, and Qty. The following table describes what they are and how to use them in ProQuest Direct link syntax.

Note—If you add a parameter that already has an assigned value in the Link Editor, the value in the Link Editor will override the value in your manual addition. To manually add a parameter value, first make sure that the parameter's value displayed in the Link Editor is either blank or set to (decide later).

Parameter It Stands for... Example What it Means
Did document ID 21209688 A document ID corresponds to a specific article available from ProQuest Direct.
Fmt format Fmt=Cite Display the article in the specified format when a user clicks the link. There are seven acceptable values you can specify for this parameter
Qty article image quality Qty=Regular Determines the quality of a Page Image format article.
