Capturing
a Link
Use one of the methods below to capture a
ProQuest Direct link using Netscape Navigator® or Microsoft®
Internet Explorer.
ImportantAfter capturing links and including
them in pages on your site, always use the Page Update Service to restrict
access to the links.
Netscape Navigator

Right-click Test Link on the
yellow bar at the top of the page. |

Choose Copy Link Location. |

Paste the link into text or an image on your
site. |
Other Ways to Capture a Link

Click Test Link on the yellow
bar at the top of the page. |
| 2. |
Right-click in the open page and select Open
Frame in New Window. The link you want is displayed in the Netsite or Location
field at the top of the page.
or,
Select Page Info from Netscape Navigator's View menu.
The link is displayed as the first line in the Document info window.
or,
Right-click in the open page and click Add Bookmark. Click Bookmarks/Edit
Bookmarks.on the Location toolbar. Right click the new bookmark to view its
properties. |

Right-click Test Link on the
yellow bar at the top of the page. |

Choose Open in New Window. |

Copy the link displayed in the Address
field of the new window to the clipboard. |

Click Test Link on the yellow
bar at the top of the page. |

Right-click in the open page and select Create
Shortcut from the pop-up menu to place a shortcut on the desktop.
Then, right-click the shortcut icon on the desktop and select Properties
from the View menu.
Click the Internet Shortcut tab to view the Target URL (link).
or,
Right-click in the open page and click Add to Favorites from the pop-up
menu. Then choose Organize Favorites from the Favorites menu, right-click the page you
just added and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. Click the Internet Shortcut
tab to view the Target URL (link). |
