The Basic Steps for Building a Site
The following general steps outline the method for
including SiteBuilder functionality in your web pages and applications.

Determine what ProQuest Direct features and
content you want to provide on your site. |

Capture the links that you
need to build and customize your site. |
| 3. |
Use the Page Update Service to apply access control to
the links on your site's pages, preventing use of the links beyond your application's intended audience. |

Release the site to your users. |

Step 3 is particularly important.
Without appropriate access control, the links included in your site will be usable by
anyone, anywhere. Remember, any use of these links, regardless of who is using them,
will be tied to your ProQuest Direct account. |
